The 10 Best Deals of September 19, 2018

We see a lot of deals around the web over on Kinja Deals, but these were our ten favorites today.

Head over to our main post for more deals, and follow us on Twitter and Facebook to never miss a chance to save. You can also join our Kinja Deals Community Facebook group to connect with your fellow deal hunters.

#1: PlayStation Classic Preorders

Preorder PlayStation Classic | $100 | Walmart

Seemingly out of nowhere, the PlayStation Classic now a thing that exists, and it’s coming out on December 3. It’s a pretty sure bet to sell out, so if you want one on release day, you can preorder it now for $100. It comes with two controllers and 20 preinstalled games (though the full list hasn’t yet been announced), so what are you still doing here?

#2: Protein Powder

It’s been a long time since Amazon last ran a protein powder Gold Box, but they’re always a great opportunity to stock up. Today, a ton of varieties of Gold Standard whey, cassein, and BCAA are included, so find your favorite flavor before the deal expires at the end of the day.

For context, most five pound jars of whey are down to $43 (or $41 with Subscribe & Save), which is about $15 less than usual, and at least for the mocha cappuccino flavor, the best price Amazon’s listed since 2010! Some others that I checked have never been as cheap as they are today. There’s no limit to how much you can buy, so stock up!

#3: Instant Pot

While we usually see bigger discounts on major sales holidays, if you want an Instant Pot pressure cooker in time for Thanksgiving dinner prep, this $15 discount on Amazon is a solid deal.

In addition to pressure cooking (which is a miracle), this is also our readers’ favorite slow cooker, and one of their favorite rice cookers too. To put it simply, it’s one of the most versatile kitchen gadgets you can own.

#4: LEGO Advent Calendar

LEGO’s Star Wars advent calendar only just went on sale for 2018, but Walmart’s already taking $5 off its $40 price tag. As always, it features 24 tiny Star Wars-themed LEGO gifts, including brand new ones for 2018 like a snowman in a Rebellion helmet, a Rose minifig, and tons of miniaturized spaceships and speeders.

Note: This was $33 when we first posted it, and has since risen to $35. But that’s still $5 less than elsewhere.

#5: $80 Paperwhite

The Kindle Paperwhite is the Kindle that most people should buy, and that’s particularly true when Prime members can grab one for just $80. That’s the best price we’ve ever seen on a non-refurb. Take it from me, it’s much healthier to read this thing before bed than your phone.

#6: Weighted BLanket

Weighted Blankets
Anjee 15 Pound Weighted Blanket | $61 | Amazon | Promo code YKHY7HK3

Weighted blankets can work wonders for your anxiety, and you can score an all-time-low price on this 15 pound blanket from Amazon today. They’re just $61 with promo code YKHY7HK3, making this the best weighted blanket deals we’ve ever posted at that weight and size. Not to stress you out, but we wouldn’t expect this deal to last for long.

#7: $19 Wallets

You don’t have to empty your wallet to score a really nice wallet from Fossil. Eight different men’s leather wallets are on clearance right now for a mere $19, plus free shipping on all orders.

#8: Switch Games

If you have any notable holes in your Nintendo Switch game library, you can fill them today with rare discounts on first party Nintendo games. Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Mario Tennis Aces are all marked down to $45, and that’s just for starters. Check out the image caption above for all the deals.

#9: Simplehuman

Simplehuman makes our readers’ favorite trash cans, and one of their most popular kitchen models has a rare $20 discount today.

This has been my personal kitchen trash can for several years now, and I love the thing more than anyone should be allowed to love a garbage receptacle. It looks great, the pedal mechanism is rock solid, is does a good job of containing, odor, and the inner lining makes it easy to remove a bag and add a new one.

#10: Mini Extension Cords

Giant plugs that cover up half the outlets on your power strip should be outlawed, but until that day arrives, these short extension cords will have to do. $16 gets you a pack of 10 (with code 3Y82IACD), which should be enough for even the most advanced home theater setups.
