Campervancentral touts itself as “The Airbnb of the camper van and motorhome world,” with it you can find and rent a campervan or RV from an individual near you. Sort of a cross between something like Getaround, which offers rentals of other people’s cars and Airbnb, where you can rent another person’s home.
The service is currently available only on the web (no apps), and you search for RVs using your location or postal code.
Right now there are a ton of options in the UK, specifically, where the company is based. For 50 pounds, for instance, you can rent this diesel motorhome in Edinburgh that sleeps four and allows pets.
Just like services like Airbnb and Getaround, if allows an owner to monetize something they might not be using at the time, and people who need an RV for a weekend to get one for considerably less than if they went through traditional channels.
