Money Advice Service is changing

In many of the letters, guides and blogposts we send you, and on the phone, we often mention the impartial and government-backed Money Advice Service as a useful source of information and guidance.

So we wanted to let you know that the name of this service is changing – from Money Advice Service to MoneyHelper.

The move comes as part of the Money and Pensions Service’s (MaPS) strategy to bring its three public facing websites – the Money Advice Service, Pensions Wise and the Pensions Advisory Service into one.

MaPS says: “Our new single consumer destination provides clarity that empowers people to act, based on their circumstances. All in one place, people can get help across a range of areas, from crisis debt support to preventive guidance. We’ve chosen a direct brand name to be as clear as possible – just like the information and guidance we provide.”

The new MoneyHelper website will be fully live from the 30th of June, and from that date the Money Advice Service, Pensions Wise and Pensions Advisory Service websites will also disappear.

We’ll be updating all our websites, emails, letters and guides to reference MoneyHelper.   However, if you do find any old links to the Money Advice Service website they will continue to work, and will be redirected to the new site.

It’s still the same source of free, impartial help – just with a different name.
