Ottawa Art Gallery participated for Doors Open Ottawa on June 2 & 3, 2018.
On June 3rd there was a performance by Bozica Radjenovic called Included/Excluded.
About the performance piece:
Utilizing fifty-two balls of red wool and two red knitted wearable sculptures, the performance Included/Excluded recalls the myth of Sisyphus who had to roll a large boulder up a hill for eternity. Creating an artwork is also a Sisyphean labour. When an artwork is done, it has a destiny of its own. It is like a bird leaving the nest, sent up to fly or fall.
