Maybe it was a recommendation from her BFF's boyfriend, or maybe it was advice from Justin Bieber, but either way: Kendall Jenner has acquired some new ink, and she went to her famous friends' tat artist of choice in NYC to get it.

Kendall's been in the Big Apple for the couple of days thanks to Total Registration Live, and she hit the West Village on September 29 to get some permanent artwork from West 4 Tattoo.

The lip tat — which reads "Meow" — comes courtesy of Jon Boy, the same dude behind Zayn Malik's glow-in-the-dark finger lightsaber and some of Bieber's more recognizable pieces.

It's demure, unexpected, and just random enough — so it's absolutely perfect for Kendall.
