The next level shows you two dining rooms. The first one you see is the dining room for the officers and the ship's crew. Following that however is a larger dining room, and this is the main dining room of the yacht. This is where political meetings could take place. The dining room is situated in a large rectangular hall that is adorned with various gifts from all over the empire's former domain. At the end of this level is also the Sitting Room, where the Royal Family could gather and spend time.
Finally, we enter the level where the sailors stay. Their bedrooms are quite cramped and narrow, and I wouldn't want to be a sailor given what I see here. It is a hard profession. Plus you also have to have clean uniforms, so we also visited the laundry area. There's also the hospital area, complete with an operating theater, though to be honest, I am not sure I want to be operated in a ship. In any case, it's slightly jarring to think that you have a very large and modern-looking seafaring vehicle, yet there are still aspects of it that look cramped and remind you more of a slum area in a third-world country rather than a modern ship.
Anyway, after spending about two hours in the ship, it was time to go home. We headed back to the city, ate lunch, picked up our bags, and went to the airport. This chapter closes, and another one opens very soon. So stay tuned.
