Street Art Cities

Art comes in various shapes and forms and is also a great way for people to express themselves. While many of us visit art museums to view amazing pieces and get inspired, there are also a lot of artworks that can be found on the streets. Street art makes every city unique and adds flavor to otherwise blank walls and buildings. We can all agree that without street art, our urban jungles would not be nearly as diverse and exciting-looking.

But have you ever witnessed street art while traveling in a new city and wondered how long it has been there? Or maybe you were thinking about the artist and wanted to know more about the story behind a certain creation?

Our friends at Street Art Cities are dealing with exactly these kinds of questions and all things street art in cities all over the world. Just like Spotted by Locals, Street Art Cities has a large international community (Street Art Hunters) who post about street art. Through an interactive map feature, it is possible to browse through street art in more than 600 different cities.

What’s great about Street Art Cities is that you can also download the (free) app, which gives you an overview of all public artworks within an area. Not only can you read up on detailed information regarding an artwork, but it will also allow you to identify its exact location. Additionally, you have the option to like and collect different artworks, which will help you to plan your next city trip!

If you are interested in street art, we would highly recommend that you check out their website and app which can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play.
