An Absolutely Selfless Woman Gave A Barefoot Homeless Person The Shoes Off Of Her Feet

Her story will warm your heart.

With all the cruddy stuff going on in the world, sometimes it's nice to hear about the good.

A woman named Kay Brown was riding home on the 3 train in NYC when a homeless woman boarded her car barefoot. Taken aback, Brown approached the woman and asked her what her shoe size was. When she heard it was the same as her, she removed the shoes she was wearing and gave them to the woman.

"So I stood on the subway for 15 min in my mixed matched socks," Brown said in her Facebook post. "Then right before I got off the subway a gentleman offered me an extra pair of socks to go over top of my small thin ones."

Afterward, Brown walked six blocks in her socks home to her apartment -- but she definitely doesn't want you to focus on that part of the story.

"You see, I can buy another pair of shoes tomorrow. And he probably has plenty of socks at home," Brown continued. "It's the middle of November and she has no where to go, so the least I could do is give her a pair of shoes."

Since posting about her experience, her story has gone viral, amassing over 29,000 likes and getting her message shared around the world. Stories like Brown's are a good thing to remember when we all sit down to give thanks this holiday season. ?
