Remember this guy? Chris Johnson proved that the little(ish) guy can move mountains when called upon. Earlier this month, Johnson was on his way home from work when he was caught in an intense snow storm. Almost a foot of snow was dropping on upstate New York causing traffic to come to a standstill. The weather stranded multiple vehicles on westbound Interstate 490 in Rochester, New York, making it difficult for emergency vehicles to make it to crash sites. Johnson quickly set to work, helping clear the road. He pulled 30 or 40 vehicles, as well as a few semis, out of the deep snow.
His good work didn't go unnoticed by the brass at Ford. Johnson's story got a lot of attention from local and national press, and video of his Ford Super Duty towing huge semi trucks out of deep snow racked up thousands of views and brought out Ford owner's intense pride on Twitter. Johnson was thrilled when his story received attention from none other than Ford CEO Mark Fields.
"I was kinda caught off guard," Johnson told TCWNews. "They just thanked me, thanked me for being a Ford fan and good job and appreciate that business." Ford also sent Johnson a care packed stuffed with Ford branded winter wear and other goodies. Johnson bought his Ford used three years ago and told reporters he'll probably buy a new one once he has the funds.
