All Events for Mike Pence Have Been Canceled According to Donald Trump's Campaign Site

The call for Trump to drop out, and let him be replaced by Mike Pence have been echoing throughout the news cycle all day, with the call originating from within the GOP itself. People like Ben Sasse, Carly Fiorina, and more have pulled back any support for the candidate, and instead suggested that Trump’s running mate be put in his stead as Hillary’s primary opponent.

After today’s events, even Pence had to distance himself from Trump’s comments.

Since the suggestion began arising, some rumors of planning have begun within the GOP to make room for something like this to happen. Neil Stevens points out that all Reince would need to replace Trump with Pence is a pen and a phone.

But while all of this is happening, it should be noted that it’s all wishful thinking. Trump has stated that he has no intention to pull out of the race, and will continue to proceed forward even though his Trump train is on fire, halfway off the tracks, and heading straight for a cliff.

Interestingly, however, is Mike Pence’s sudden absence of events on the Donald Trump campaign website. Going to check out the schedule only leaves you with this message.

One can only speculate, but if the rumors that the GOP is in full retreat are true, then this might be the end of the road for Pence’s VP journey. We shouldn’t rule out the fact that it could just be a rescheduling to better cope with Saturday’s fallout, but this is a very odd thing to happen.

UPDATE: According to Trump’s site, two events have now been added. One in Charlotte, and one in Fayetville, NC. Why the rest of the events were canceled is still anyone’s guess, but the Trump campaign has now at least filled in the empty spaces.
