The Balconies and The Love Machine @ The 27 Club

Such an emotional and brought back memories last night at The 27 Club.
It was announced back in December that The Balconies, after 10 years making wonderful Canadian indie music were calling it quits!
With that they called their farewell show “The Last Lunge” and it was noted that on February 3, 2008 was the first time the band performed at Zaphod Beeblebrox.
Due to overwhelming demands, they added a second show which was on Friday night which I decided to attend!

The Love Machine started off the show!
Memories swept my brain and I couldn’t stop singing out loud to their songs.
I thought the band was sort of done but I was wrong!
They were just on hiatus and hinted they will be playing again in May.

Then it was the Balconies turn to perform.
There was alot of emotional excitement.
Beginning from their first album to Kill Count, Fast Motions and Rhonda.
One of those shows where you say “OMG I can’t believe it!”
I did get a shoutout from Jacquie (Which I felt embarrassed) since I have photographed at their shows for 10 years.
Hopefully one day they will reunite!
