The Sega Genesis Mini 2, a miniature replica of the classic gaming console, launched on October 27. The system is currently exclusive to Amazon and costs $100 plus $22.30 for shipping to the US. The console ships from Japan, and unfortunately a Prime delivery option isn't available.

The first Genesis Mini model was released in 2019 for $80, and this new edition offers a completely different set of games and an upgraded controller.

Like the earlier model, the Genesis Mini 2 is designed to let buyers play retro Sega games on their TV. Sixty games come installed on the system, including titles that were originally released on the Sega CD.

The Sega Genesis Mini 2 is a miniature replica of the second Genesis model that was released in 1993, while the first Genesis Mini was a replica of the console's original design from 1988. The Mini 2 also comes with a new version of the six-button gamepad that eventually became the Genesis standard, while the original Genesis Mini came with a three-button controller.

The Genesis Mini 2 has 60 games, while the original Genesis Mini had 42. Like the earlier model, the new Mini 2 also incorporates features like save states and widescreen support.
