The bus actually doesn't drop you at the park entrance, but only at the intersection. When you reach the intersection, you still have to walk a few hundred metres until you get to the park entrance. Tours of the caves run every hour, and you can tag on several other activities within the national park with your cave visit. However, I was just interested with visiting the caves, so I said no to the other activities.
The tours are only conducted in Spanish. But I thought the language was not an issue; after all, the guide was more or less explaining the various formations that one can see in the caverns. I just merrily followed along, and while I didn't comprehend everything that she was saying, it was more or less self-explanatory. I happily snapped pictures, although the lighting was not the most ideal.
After I finished the tour, I found a taxi waiting for passengers at the entrance of the park. I took it, and told him to bring me to the intersection. He asked whether I would be interested in taking the taxi all the way to Taxco, but I had plenty of time to wait for the next bus, so I declined. Half an hour later, the next bus came and I headed back home.
