Veterans can get quite a few deals on Veterans Day this Saturday, Nov. 11, but you have to know what they are in order to secure them. Here are a few places where veterans can get discounts or special treatment in honor of the holiday. Just be sure to have your military ID or VA discount card on you.
Veterans Day food discounts
Active-duty military members, vets, reservists, and National Guard members get a free full-sized entree from a special menu at Applebee’s on Nov. 11, plus a $5 card to redeem on dine-in or to-go orders for three weeks. Active-duty members and veterans can also get a free meal from a select menu at Chili’s on the big day.
Benihana offers active-duty military members and veterans a free appetizer with any lunch or dinner entree on Nov. 11.
Dave & Busters is offering veterans a free entree (up to $20) plus a free $10 Power Card on November 11.
Buffalo Wild Wings will give 10 free boneless wings (plus fries) to vets and active-duty service members on Nov. 11, but only if dining in or walk-in ordering. Hooters is also offering a free entree from a special menu for veterans on November 11.
Military members, vets, and their spouses get a free small hot brewed coffee of the day or cold press at Caribou Coffee on Nov. 11. You can also get a free coffee or fountain drink at Casey’s General Stores, a free donut at Dunkin’, and a free kolache and cup of coffee at Kolache Factory. (Kolache Factory’s special is only running in the morning.)
Golden Corral’s Military Appreciation Night is happening on Nov. 13 from 5 p,m. to close, and includes a free meal when dining in.
Hit Denny’s on Nov. 10 for a free Original Grand Slam from 5 a.m. to noon.
IHOP will give vets and active-duty personnel free Red, White, & Blueberry Pancakes or a pancake combo on Nov. 11.
Nab a free Bloomin’ Onion and beverage at Outback Steakhouse on Nov. 11 if you purchase an adult entree, though veterans and service members get 10% off their entire check every day of the year.
Playa Bowls is offering a free bowl with military ID on Nov. 11 and Smoothie King is offering a free red, white, or blue smoothie from a special menu.
Veterans Day retail discounts
Adidas gives vets and active-duty military members 40% on its website until Nov.12 this year.
Academy Sports + Outdoors offers 10% off to active-duty service members and vets from Oct. 22 to Nov. 12, both online and in-store.
Get a free Car Care Check at Goodyear if you’re active-duty or a veteran. You can schedule your appointments between Nov. 10 and 14, then redeem the service before Nov. 19.
Vets, active and former military personnel, and their immediate families get 30% off in-store purchases at Kohl’s from Nov. 11 to 13.
You’ll need this coupon and to be a vet, active-duty personnel, a reservist, or a dependent of one to get 25% off at Office Depot and Office Max from Nov. 11 through 13.
Target’s 10% military discount runs from Oct. 29 to Nov. 11 and is available to active-duty military personnel, vets, and their families. It works online and in-store and can be applied to two separate transactions.
Tractor Supply is offering a 15% discount to active-duty military members, veterans, and their dependents on Nov. 11.
Veterans can get 25% off their in-store purchases at Vitamin Shoppe and Super Supplements from Nov. 11 to 13.
Walgreens and Duane Reade are offering 20% off eligible items from November 10 to 13 if you’re active-duty, a veteran, or a family member of one. Rite Aid offers 15% off to customers with both a valid military ID and Rite Aid Rewards program membership from Nov. 10 to 12.
At IKEA, veterans and active-duty military members with a valid ID get 15% off on in-store home furnishing purchases (up to $3,000) between Nov. 10 and 22.
Veterans Day personal care discounts
Great Clips is offering a free haircut and free haircut card for future use to any veterans or active service members on Nov. 11. Non-military customers can also grab a free haircut card to give to active-duty or veteran pals that day. The cards are redeemable Nov. 12 through December 1.
Veterans Day entertainment and travel discounts
La Quinta by Wyndham is offering 12% off their Best Available Rate to eligible military members.
Members of the military and veterans can get 15% off of bookings and stays at Red Roof from Nov. 1 to Dec. 30. Use code VP 623095.
