Police are searching for the hit-and-run driver who ran over a Queens pedestrian on a Sunday morning at the beginning of July. The 63-year-old victim was seriously injured and finally succumbed to her injuries two weeks later, on July 16th.

Police say that the woman was hit around 8:14 a.m. on July 1st in front of 59-41 Myrtle Avenue in Ridgewood by a driver going westbound at "high rate of speed." The woman sustained numerous injuries to her torso and was taken to Wyckoff Hospital.

The NYPD described the driver's vehicle as a silver Nissan Sentra sedan, with damage to its driver-side doors and passenger-side rearview mirror. The police also released an image and video of the car:

A friend of the victim's daughter tells us, "A witness saw the first three letters of the license plate was HSG. It was a silver/white Nissan Sentra with the right mirror knocked out and back of the truck smashed."
