No deal papers show catastrophic Brexit but Chequers little better

by Steve Beasant on 13 October, 2018

No deal papers show catastrophic Brexit but Chequers little better:

“These papers simply prove what we have known all along: a ‘no deal’ Brexit is catastrophic, wrecking trade, transport links, consumer rights and British-owned businesses in the EU to name but four awful problems.

“But we must not let the Conservatives use this as a way of scaring us into accepting the highly damaging Chequers fudge or, worse still, the ERG’s even more economically harmful plan.

“Any form of Brexit is dangerous. But Brexit is not inevitable. The best option is to stay in the EU, which we can still achieve by giving the British people the final say through a People’s Vote.”
