Lady Gaga Confirms She’s Headlining The 2017 Super Bowl Halftime Show

‘It’s not an illusion’

Hope you like football, Little Monsters, because Lady Gaga has confirmed she’ll headline next year’s Super Bowl halftime show.

Following much speculation, the “Perfect Illusion” singer announced the exciting news on Thursday (September 29), tweeting, “It’s not an illusion. The rumors are true.”

This will be Lady Gaga’s second time gracing the Super Bowl stage, following her performance of the National Anthem earlier this year. As you may remember, Coldplay headlined the last halftime spectacle, though Beyoncé and Bruno Mars arguably stole the spotlight (sorry, Chris Martin).

The 2017 Super Bowl will land in Houston on February 5, 2017. In the meantime, Gaga is busy promoting her upcoming album, Joanne, due out October 21. The LP reportedly includes collaborations with Florence Welch, Beck, Mark Ronson, Father John Misty, Josh Homme of Queens of Stone Age, and Kevin Parker of Tame Impala ... so Gaga should have no trouble finding guests for her big performance.
